Hello all. I'm new to this site. My wife and I are considering full-timing in a approx 10 year old Newell and figure on doing 10-12K miles per year. As we have no experience at this I was wondering if some of you fine Newell owners could share some cost/budget information regarding the upkeep. I am a handy person and do not mind doing whatever I can myself. Thank you in advance.

    Hi Michael,
I'm still trying to figure how to use the messaging and other thing on this site. I really enjoyed meeting everyone in Austin and look forward to trying to comunicate on this site. We will be going to Ouray CO to do some ATVing the last of July through Aug. We also have stayed at Tiger Run numerous time and have ATV there also. Would enjoy another ralley anytime anywhere. We usally go to most of the FMCA National Ralley and usally try to East-West a couple time a year along with North- South. Ron

    Michael,

My wife wants to know if we could do a pot luck supper one night for the rally. What do you think? Should we just ask everyone to bring a covered dish?

    Hey Michael:

Well, if all goes well, we are excited to meet you and Georgia in TX. Hopefully, our taxes will all be paid and we can relax at that point. LOL.

In previous correspondence, you and I chatted about my water heater and its need to be either flushed or some kind of a rod replaced in the thing. The temperature seems to work pretty well when the outside temperature is warm, but it takes quite a while to heat up when it is chilly outside and we have been traveling along the road.

So my question is, would it be possible for you and I to take a look at the water heater in TX? I am pretty flexible as to timing of arrival etc. and don't want to take up any valuable family time etc. that you have planned but it would be nice to have you assist me in figuring the thing out.

No worries either way, we can't wait to visit with you and the rest of us that use this site regularly. BTW, I just spoke with Cindy, of Newell, and asked if this site could be highlighted in a newsletter. I found that in Anacortes, no one had heard of this important website and if more knew about it, our attendance would possibly be even higher in TX. Anyways, just thinking of ways to get more people knowledgable about this wonderful resource.

    Best regards,

    David
